Background video player

Background video player

We’re making it easier for you to listen on the go. With a background video player on mobile, you can now minimize the app and continue listening to the audio while doing other activities, such as browsing the internet, checking emails, messaging, or even taking a walk around the block.
New edit permissions for Draft For

New edit permissions for Draft For

This highly requested feature to

Draft For

is here. Post drafters with the additional

Edit For

permission can now edit posts on behalf of the final author. Navigate to the

Admin Panel

and scroll down to

Draft For

to give the additional

Edit For

permission to your drafters.
Mark as key update on mobile

Mark as key update on mobile

People with the admin permission to mark posts as key updates can now do it using the mobile apps too. Key updates help your coworkers find the most important information quickly and easily. On the desktop, select the key updates section on the main Workplace menu. On the mobile apps, look for the key updates icon in the main header.
Improvements to surveys

Improvements to surveys

It’s now easier than ever for group and system admins to create surveys. System admins should navigate to the

Admin Panel

and select

Surveys

at the bottom. System admins will have three options when setting their survey audience: people sets, groups and manual import with a spreadsheet. Group admins should click on from the group page and select

Surveys

from the dropdown menu to create a survey for their group.
Here are the additional improvements we’ve made:
  • Survey results can be exported as .pdf documents.
  • Survey response window is now increased up to a year.
  • Surveys can have up to 20 questions to accommodate surveys with branching scenarios.
  • Question type and order can be edited at any time.
  • Questions can be duplicated.
New membership rule options in the Admin Panel

New membership rule options in the Admin Panel

We’ve introduced additional options in the

Admin Panel

to give admins more flexibility on who in your organization can use membership rules to manage group members. System admins can navigate to

Membership Rules

under

Settings

and enable one of these three membership rules:
  • Everyone in your Workplace,
  • Only system admins in your Workplace, or
  • Specific people sets.
Admins can now enable SAML single logout

Admins can now enable SAML single logout

We’re introducing single logout to increase your account security. With single logout turned on, people can log out from their identity provider (IdP) which would log them out of their Workplace account too. Also, when someone logs out of Workplace, a request would be sent to their IdP to log them out of their IdP session too.
To turn on single logout for your organization’s Workplace, you must:
  • Be a system admin or an admin with the permission to
Change company settings and configure integrations
    ,
  • Already have SSO configured in your Workplace.
When you’re ready, visit the Help Center to learn how to Configure SSO and Edit your SSO preferences to turn on single logout.
