RBS wins a digital innovation award thanks to Workplace
Royal Bank of Scotland wins IOIC 2018 award for using Live video to broadcast a leadership conference to its entire organization on Workplace.

Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) adopted Workplace early. In fact, they were our first customer way back in 2016 when we were just getting started.
So as an organization ahead of the curve when deploying innovative collaboration software, it was exciting to see RBS win the ‘Best Use of Interactive Media’ gong at the IOIC awards in Edinburgh last week.
“Never in my career did I think I would get to attend the executive leader’s event. And today I just did – thanks to Workplace.”
Now in their 64th year, the IOIC National Awards identify and celebrate outstanding work in internal communications, celebrating great work throughout the profession.
Craig Hoey, Lead for Digital Channels at RBS says, “The live streams included a talent show where colleagues interacted with each performance and voted for the winner and a live panel interview with some of our customers.”

We’re delighted that RBS is using Workplace to help connect people in the organization from top to bottom to remove barriers to communication and participation.
“These events have always been closed door and executive only,” explains Craig, “so it was quite a transformative moment to be able to open up the event to our whole organization.”
And we’re pleased that innovations made possible by the Workplace platform are helping customers gain recognition in their industries. Huge congratulations to the RBS team on their well-deserved award!
