Block and unblock messages from someone on Workplace Chat

You can only block messages from people outside of your organization. You may consider reporting a chat for someone within your organization.
When you block messages from someone, they can't send you messages or call you on Workplace or Workplace Chat.
When you block messages from someone, they can still:
  • See your profile on Workplace.
  • See you or search for you on Workplace or Workplace Chat.
  • See your messages if you're both in the same group conversation.
If you open a group chat that includes someone you blocked, you’ll be notified that a blocked user is in the conversation. You’ll have the option to:
  • Stay in the chat with the blocked person.
  • Leave the chat.
  • Manage blocked users in the chat.

Block messages from someone in a chat

  1. Open a one-to-one chat with the person you want to block. You can find them by searching and clicking their name.
  2. Click above the chat.
  3. Click Block messages, underneath Privacy Options.
  4. Confirm your choice.

Unblock messages from someone in a chat

  1. Open a one-to-one chat with the person you’ve blocked. You can find them by searching and clicking their name.
  2. Click Unblock.
