Add images and videos to your Workplace post

You can add images, videos and post banners to your Workplace posts to highlight events, important dates, and to celebrate employee achievements.
Add an image or video to your post
  1. Click Write something... to start your post.
  2. In the composer, click .
  3. Click Insert image into text or Attach images/videos if you want to add the image or video to the end of the post.
  4. Select your image or video and click Open.
  5. Hover over the images at the end of your post to Edit or Add Photos/Videos.
  6. You can delete images inserted into text by clicking .
  7. When you're ready to publish, click Post.
Add banner to your post
  1. Click Write something... to start your post.
  2. In the composer, click .
  3. Click Insert banner image.
  4. Choose your banner image and click Open.
  5. Drag your mouse to adjust the position.
  6. Click Save.
Image sizing
Images are resized to have a maximum height to prevent individual posts on your Feed from being too long.
There is no perfect image ratio to avoid bars on the sides of your images, but there are recommended sizes depending on the image:
  • Horizontal images are recommended to have a 3:2 aspect ratio or wider.
  • Vertical images recommended upload is 1000 x 1300 px.
  • Square images recommended upload is 500 x 500 px. Since max feed width allowed in Workplace is 680px, a square image will be scaled accordingly and borders may occur.
  • For cover photos being added to Notes, 2048 x 758 px is recommended.
